Newly Registered Number of Imported Vehicle as of August 2009

  The number of vehicles produced by foreign manufacturers newly registered in August 2009 was 10,167 units, decreased by 1.4% compared with the same month of last year (10,316units). The cumulative total since January 2009 was 100,091 units, decreased by 23.2% compared with the same period of last year (130,318 units).
  The total number of vehicles produced by foreign manufacturers and Japanese manufacturers newly registered in August, was 11,272 units, decreased by 3.5% compared with the same month of last year (11,676 units). The cumulative total since January 2009 was 112,191 units, decreased by 24.1% compared with the same period of last year
(147,906 units).

Correction (Sept 4, 2009):
March 2009 figures have been changed for Total number of Foreign Manufacturers, Passenger Cars from 20,655 to 20,656 and for Grand Total, Total Passenger Cars from 21,892 to 21,893.
Accordingly, figures for Cumulative Total have been corrected.
