The number of newly registered imported vehicles of foreign manufacturers during August 2006 was 15,270 unitsand decreased by 3.9% compared with the same month of last year (15,891units). The cumulative total since January2006 was 161,148 units and increased by 0.6% compared with the same period of last year (160,241 units).
The total number of newly registered imported vehicles during August, including vehicles produced in overseasby Japanese manufacturers, was 16,588 units and decreased by 2.9% compared with the same month of last year(17,076 units). The cumulative total since January 2006 was 171,580 units and decreased by 0.7% compared with thesame period of last year (172,874 units).
