Newly Registered Imported Vehicles during August 2005

The number of newly registered imported vehicles of foreign manufacturers during August 2005 was 15,891 unitsand increased by 6.6% compared with the same month of last year (14,902units). The cumulative total since January2005 was 160,241 units and increased by 2.4% compared with the same period of last year (156,558 units).
The total number of newly registered imported vehicles during August, including vehicles produced in overseasby Japanese manufacturers, was 17,076 units and increased by 2.8% compared with the same month of last year(16,605 units). The cumulative total since January 2005 was 172,874 units and decreased by 2.7% compared with thesame period of last year (177,738 units).
