The number of newly registered imported vehicles of foreign manufacturers during August 2004 was 14,902 unitsand increased by 0.7% compared with the same month of last year (14,796units). The cumulative total since January2004 was 156,558 units and decreased by 0.6% compared with the same period of last year (157,463 units).
The total number of newly registered imported vehicles during August, including vehicles produced in overseasby Japanese manufacturers, was 16,605 units and increased by 1.2% compared with the same month of last year(16,404 units). The cumulative total since January 2004 was 177,738 units and increased by 0.6% compared with thesame period of last year (176,695 units).
