【Registered vehicles】

  Imported vehicles of foreign manufacturers newly registered during first half of FY 2002 (from April to September 2002) amounted to 131,153 units, an increase by 2.0% compared with that of FY 2001 (128,600 ).
  Total number of imported vehicles newly registered during the period including the vehicles produced overseas by Japanese manufacturers amounted to 138,389, an increase by 2.1% compared with that of FY 2001 (135,582).
