The number of newly registered imported vehicles of foreign manufacturers during August 2002 was 17,598 unitsand decreased by 1.5% compared with the same month of last year (17,861units). The cumulative total since January2002 was 169,973 units and decreased by 1.3% compared with the same period of last year (172,188 units).
The total number of newly registered imported vehicles during August, including vehicles produced in overseasby Japanese manufacturers, was 18,918 units and increased by 0.1% compared with the same month of last year(18,890 units). The cumulative total since January 2002 was 178,983 units and decreased by 1.6% compared with thesame period of last year (181,924 units).
