During the first half of FY 2001 (Quick Report)

Imported vehicles of foreign manufacturers newly registered during first half of FY 2001 (from April to September 2001) amounted to 128,600 units, an increase by 3.2% compared with that of FY 2000 (124,623).
Total number of imported vehicles newly registered during the period including the vehicles produced overseas by Japanese manufacturers amounted to 135,582, a decrease by 0.1% compared with that of FY 2000 (135,762).
