Imported Vehicles Registered
During  August 2000

  The new sales registration of imported vehicles produced by foreign manufacturers during August 2000 amounted to 16,789 units, an increase of 7.3% compared with 15,642 units of the same month last year. The cumulative total number since January 2000 was 164,513, an increase of 0.6% compared with 163,513 of the same period last year.
   The new sales registration of imported vehicles including vehicles produced overseas by Japanese manufacturers during the month totaled 18,157 units, an increase of 6.3% compared with 17,086 units of the same month last year. The cumulative total number since January 2000 was 179,098, a decrease of 2.1% compared with 182,882 of the same period last year.
